One of the best parts about being a wedding wedding photographer is meeting so many wonderful couples. Most of my weddings are based on the East Coast but I get so excited when I get asked to travel for a wedding. I recently had the wonderful opportunity to travel down to Nashville for my first Destination Wedding. Hooray! It was so much fun heading down south to photograph Kristin & Matt's wedding at Cedarwood (photos coming soon). I had some time to explore the great city of Nashville before the wedding and since it was my first time there, I acted like a complete tourist!
My first day in Nashville, I visited Merchants for lunch and enjoyed a Gerst (a local beer) with my salad. It was delicious! I walked around and heard live music all along Broadway. I stopped by Hatch Show Print which is one of the oldest letterpress shops in the country. It was filled with tons of great country music memorabilia. I also visited a cute bar Pub 5 next to the Bridgestone Arena for a night cap. Oh and Beyonce was there the night of the wedding too! On my last day, I visited to the Country Music Hall of Fame and learned all about Honkey Tonk, Blue Grass and Rockabilly. I saw Carl Perkins blue suede shoes and Taylor Swift's diamond encrusted guitar (want!). Oh, and I visited Mike's Ice Cream Shop twice (yes, I know so bad but it was soooo good!)
I loved Nashville & can't wait to go back!! Enjoy!
