:: things i like :: classic specs

This post is about a year over due but I have to mention how much I love my glasses from Classic Specs. I bought them last summer at the Brooklyn Flea and wear them just about everyday. I wanted a "nerdy photographer" look but still wanted to be stylish (does that even make sense?). I picked out the Falmouth in Carbon Black and thinking about getting the st.topez color next. Honestly, you cannot beat $89.00 for awesome glasses and lenses. Genius!

WHIT Fall 2012 Fashion Show

A few weeks ago, I attended my very first fashion during New York's Fashion Week for my friends at WHIT. They previewed their Fall 2012 collection which was fantastic. (that blue coat is going to be mine!) Here are few images from the show but let me preface this post by saying i'm not a fashion photographer. (It took me a bit to get my camera settings correct once the show started and the lighting changed) Enjoy!

kristen & leor's liberty house wedding, brooklyn wedding photographer

Last October, I had the wonderful opportunity to second shoot Kristen & Leor's beautiful wedding at Liberty Place in Jersey City, New Jersey with my friend Mikkel Paige. The bride and groom looked absolutely amazing and shared very special vows during their ceremony. After cocktail hour, they were treated to a fireworks show from Liberty Island for the Statue of Liberty's 125th birthday! Here are some of my favorite images of their special day. Congrats Kristen & Leor and Mazel (their dog!). Oh, and that cake is from none other than New Jersey's own Cake BossEnjoy!

a few photos from red hook, brooklyn

A few weeks ago, I spent an afternoon in Red Hook. I stopped by Baked for a sweet treat and then headed down to the pier to take polaroids. The weather has been unseasonably warm which is great for taking photographs. Enjoy!

Just a pretty sunset in brooklyn. Happy Friday!

:: things i like :: TOMS Ballet Flats

Ok, I'll admit it. I don't have a pair of TOMS because I wasn't a fan of their square toes. So, imagine my excitement when I found out that they just released their new ballet flats. These are totally up my alley (round toes) and are great shoe to wear as a wedding photographer (comfortable & cute!). Yay!

{polaroids} red hook, brooklyn ny

I took a few polaroids in Red Hook last week and this is my favorite one from the day. I used PX680 Film with my ND Filter from Impossible Project but the film is still coming out very pink and blue. I think my ND Filter isn't working so I'm going to see if I can get another one soon. Enjoy!

alex headshots in new york, brooklyn photographer

A few weeks ago, I took head shots for my friend Alex in Manhattan. We had to show a variety of emotions for his latest project. This shot is my favorite but I wanted to put together an animated gif to share the rest of the images. And don't you just love his bowtie? Super fun!
